Covid-19 Crisis Response Fund of the Greater Evansville Region
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the United Way of SWIN funding partners are establishing a cross-sector, community wide COVID-19 Response Fund of the Greater Evansville Region, primarily Gibson, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties. This response is designed to serve the community through the relief, recovery, and restoration phases typical of large-scale crises to catalyze hope in a time that perpetuates hopelessness and isolation.

Evansville, IN COVID-19 Match
Evansville, IN COVID-19 Match intends to create a platform where community members can lend or receive a helping hand during this public health crisis. By matching a healthy, young, and low-risk individual with an older or more high-risk individual, they intend to create a support system for those who are unable to leave their homes or who live in isolation.

Need a Neighbor
Need a Neighbor provides an opportunity for the Church in Greater Evansville to love and serve neighbors during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

SWIRCA and Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office Vulnerable Citizen’s Relief Fund
SWIRCA (Southwestern Indiana Regional Council on Aging) and the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office are seeking community donations to meet critical needs. General supplies: toilet paper, bleach, wipes (disinfecting and personal), shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, laundry detergent, soap (hand and body), paper towels. Food: canned goods, canned meats, protein bars, pasta, instant potatoes, peanut butter, microwavable meals, shelf-stable snack foods. Donations can be delivered directly to SWIRCA & More at 16 W Virginia St in Evansville, every Monday through Friday, 8 am – 2 pm. Call the Vulnerable Citizen Relief Hotline at 812-464-7800.

Evansville Independent Self-Isolation Center
The Evansville Independent Self-Isolation Center is currently housing the homeless population affected by COVID-19. Our homeless community is extremely vulnerable to the current situation we are experiencing. The Commission on Homelessness is currently looking for volunteers to help our homeless community stay safe and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Urban Seeds
Urban Seeds is making 250 cooked-from-scratch dinners every Thursday, which are then shared within our community via partner organizations.
